Annual Charity Golf Classic

Each year in August Frank Wade and Vince Boschman of RBC Dominion Securities host their Charity Golf Classic for the benefit of the Riverview Health Centre Foundation. The pair founded the event in 2003 as a way to show appreciation to their clients and to raise money for a progressive facility.

Funds from this event go to support Foundation initiatives that will enhance the quality of life for patients and residents. A recently completed major project made possible by the Golf Classic is the renovation of the Centre’s outdoor wanderways, which are vitally important for patients with Alzheimer disease, dementia and special needs. The paths, which now include gardens and cedar arbors, allow patients to safely enjoy the outdoors in the company of family members and staff.
